About the Emma Lea Books

The idea for these books came into my mind so completely, it felt like a fantastic gift which tied together many of my life’s interest. As an Occupational Therapist, my work had almost always been with children and teens.  Writing has been a life-long passion and to constant pursuit. My interest in tea grew from my artwork. Student ceramists are frequently assigned to “interpret teapots”. My studies into the history of tea opened a fascinating world, far beyond the physical art.

The struggle with choosing between my interests often felt as if it fragmented and limited my work. These books bring all these things together. Sharing the world of tea with children is a platform to explore cultures and history of the world in an elegant forum.
